This course will introduce the learner to the many aspects of the corporate planning model, including history and goals of corporate modeling. This course will also provide the learner with information regarding security valuation and determining the values of securities, bonds, and common stocks. After completing this program, the learner will have a solid understanding of:
- How to forecast a stock price.
- The types and methods of capital budgeting.
- Factors to be considered when determining capital expenditures.
Course Topics
T1. Corporate Modeling: This topic will introduce the learner to the many aspects of the corporate planning model, including history and goals of corporate modeling, model and analysis types, and the process of creating a corporate model.
T2. Security Valuation: This topic will define security valuation and will instruct the learner in how to determine the values of securities, bonds, and common stocks, in addition to how to forecast a stock price.
T3. Capital Budgeting: This topic will define capital budgeting and will educate the learner on the types and methods of capital budgeting and the factors to be considered when determining capital expenditures, such as rate of return and budget ceiling.
T4. Break-Even Analysis: This topic will familiarize the learner with break-even analysis and the various ways in which it is used to compute the break-even point, the effects of operating leverage, and margin analysis.
